THE FACTOR ANALYSIS OF MORAL CHARACTERISTICS OF FACULTY OF EDUCATION STUDENTS IN BANGKOK

The purpose of this research was to analyze the factor of moral characteristics of Faculty of Education students in Bangkok. The samples were 1,104 of the second, third, and forth years undergraduate students, which were stratified random sampling method. The instrument used to collect data was Moral Characteristics Questionnaire with the total reliability coefficient (α) of 0.95. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to analyze the data.
The research result was the confirmatory factor analysis significantly confirmed that the model of moral characteristics could be characterized into three factors: cognitive aspect, affective aspect and behavioral aspect of moral characteristics. These three factors were in accordance with empirical data, with the high loading factor at significant level of 0.01, and they were found to be capable of measuring the moral characteristics of students of Faculty of Education.
