WEBSITE USING AND EVALUATION BEHAVIORS OF KASETSART UNIVERSITY’S UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

This research aims 1) to study website using behaviors of Kasetsart University’s undergraduate students, 2) to study website evaluation behaviors of Kasetsart University’s undergraduate students, and 3) to compare the website evaluation behaviors of Kasetsart University’s undergraduate students among students with different fields of study. The sample of this research is 394 undergraduate students drown from the first year to fourth year of Kasetsart University, Bangkhen campus.
The results of the study were as follows: 1) the website using behavior of most student is to use websites for searching. The time period of using is from 08.01 to 12.00 p.m., using more than 4 hours per a week, These participants have more than 5 years of experiences. They searched the websites at home/dormitory, using a smartphone, and Google. 2) Website evaluation behaviors are at high level. The participants searched websites mostly from search engine by keyword. Evaluating of the quality of website is an ability to link data with information easily and understandably, including evaluating the website’s contents if they are current and updated or not. 3) Website evaluation behaviors in overall aspects of students with different fields of study were statistically significant different at 0.05 level. The fields of science and technology has lower means than the fields of social and humanities sciences.
