THE IMPACT OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, DECISION MAKING MODEL, TRUSTFULNESS AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFERS FACTORS TOWARD OFFICERS PERFORMANCE OF THAI COMMERCIAL BANKS

This research aims to 1) study the level of organization culture, the decision making model, trustfulness, knowledge transfer and performance of Thai commercial bank officer 2) study the influence of organization culture, decision making model, trustfulness and knowledge transfer to the performance of Thai commercial bank officers. This research is a quantitative research with in-depth interviews. The quantitative research questionnaires from a sample of the employees of the bank’s operations in Thailand, which has a joint venture with the shareholders naturalized foreigners for more than 50 percent in Bangkok 4 of 385 people, which calculated. The sample is based on a formula that uses a sample size of Yamane (1967). The sampling method is multi-stage sampling; step 1 sampling according to a ratio to compare the proportion of employees operating in four banks, step 2 to select the sample to the staff operating in four banks were all 385 people but to this study, the researchers used a sample of 400 people to spare for all those who answered the survey questions is not exhaustive. Data analysis for quantitative research was operated by using a Structure Equation Model (SEM). The results showed that the overall opinion of Thai commercial bank officers on the culture of the organization, decision making model, trustfulness, knowledge transfer and the performance of Thai commercial bank officers was high. This was relevant to the result of in-depth interview. The study found that organization culture has positive direct influence on decision-making model and knowledge transfer at a statistical significance of .001. The trustfulness has a positive direct influence on the transfer of knowledge at a statistical significance of .01. And the transfer of knowledge has a positive direct influences on the performance of employees at a statistical significance of .001. However, the organization’s culture and the trust has an indirect influence on the performance of employees through knowledge transfer. Lastly decision making model has no influence on the performance of employees, the organization culture and the decision making model has no influence on the employee trustfulness. In this study, Thai commercial bank should establish organization culture in order to make employee trust each other and willing to transfer knowledge. This would be effect the good performance and beneficial to the organization as a whole.
