A STUDY OF BEHAVIORAL OPERATION OF THAIS, BURMESE, CAMBODIANS IN INDUSTRIAL FACTORY

This study is exploratory research with the objectives to study about behavioral operation of Thais, Burmese, and Cambodian who work in an electronics industry. The qualitative technique is used in this study with the instrument of direct observation in real working situation. Then lists of questions are created for focus group interview of 60 workers. Data were collected using voice recording during the interview by divided interviewees to 12 groups. Each group comprised of 5 workers and sorted by nationality and job position.
The result shows that demographic factor in terms of working age; motivation factor in terms of increasing responsibilities, achievement, and coordination with partners; and organizational factor in term of factory’s rule and policy, commander’s characteristics, grapevine story, salary and compensation, and working environment affect behavioural operation of Thais, Burmese, and Cambodian who work in the industrial factory.
