The Airport City Management Model of Suvarnabhumi Airport

Abstract
This study aims to study the current condition of Suvarnabhumi Airport Management and to study the airport city management model of Suvarnabhumi Airport. Mixed research methods approach was adopted. Data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis.
The results of the research showed that (1) the conditions in the management of Suvarnabhumi Airport both in terms of aviation and non-aviation aspects has a high average at a high level ( = 4.19). In terms of aviation, the highest mean level is the number of check-in counters that are appropriate for the number of users ( = 4.44). Non-aeronautical aspects which has a high average in the high level ( = 4.09) is the reputation, outstanding products and brand name stores that come to service ( = 4.17) (2) Airport city management of Suvarnabhumi Airport should have 1. In terms of service the highest mean is that the airport city should have a fast service system ( = 4.44) 2. In terms of commercial activities, the highest mean ( = 4.10) is that within the airport city area, the airport should have buildings and offices, office building for rent, company, shop, and 3. In terms of utilities the highest mean value is to consider the environment and the impact on the community and the airport city should have the appropriate infrastructure for providing services ( = 4.08) (3) the model for managing the airport city of Suvarnabhumi Airport Should consist of: 1. Manage the excellent logistics infrastructure system 2. Manage the area with multimedia technology with identity 3. Manage city planning and business planning 4. Manage according to international standards for services and facilities Convenience to support business groups and travel groups. The Suvarnavhumi Airport must manage by applying 5 management principles efficiently at all time (planning, organizing Commanding, coordination and controlling) to maintain the status of a high-quality airport
