The objective of this research was to examine the factors influencing the operational efficiency of retail businesses in Sakonnakhon Province, focusing on organizational management factors and transformational leadership. The sample consisted of 306 retail entrepreneurs. Data were collected based on purposive snowball sampling method. The research instrument was an online questionnaire. Statistical analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results indicated that organizational structure, human resource management, organizational culture, and transformational leadership were positively correlated with operational efficiency at a 0.01 significance level. Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that the overall model accounted for 57.9% of the variance in operational efficiency ( R2 = 0.579). Notably, transformational leadership was the most influential variable (Beta = 0.355) and significantly contributed an additional 5.7% to the variance explanation (R2 Change = 0.057, F = 40.572), supporting all five research hypotheses. The study suggests that while basic management systems are essential, transformational leadership is the prominent factor in enhancing business excellence amidst the complex situations in Sakonnakhon. Leaders who can provide inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation can increase competitive advantages more effectively than relying solely on physical management systems.
