Metaphysics and Foundations of Scientific Search

Abstract

This article aims to study metaphysics. Which is the first branch of pure philosophy in the world the results of the study showed that metaphysics stems from the astonishment and suspicions of ancient humans on natural and environmental phenomena. From this human curiosity causing humans to search for those realities which the answer may be correct and some incorrect until finally the correct answer it's called metaphysical knowledge. Although divided into a large number but within the boundaries of the three major branches of metaphysics, namely, mentalism and naturalism. Metaphysics is considered the core of the philosophy structure. It is necessary to hold the structure of the ontology as an important component of all things. The structure of the physical universe is good. It's not a problem that metaphysics should answer. It is a function of apparent science, such as astrophysics, etc. These sciences have special principles. Does not use predictive methods of truth and reasoning based on logic but using experimental methods to prove the hypothesis that it is true or not especially the problems with things that Ionia-based cosmologists in the past thought of science, such as what is the origin or cause of the universe. This problem is of metaphysics. Not of science since there are no tools or methods to use to find knowledge in that matter
