The Living according to Samakkhi Dhamma of Banglamphu Community, Chanasongkram Sub-district, Phranakhon District, Bangkok

Abstract

This research aims to 1) To study life according to the principles of unity in Buddhism and Islam of Banglamphu community 2) to analyze the success factors from the motivation in applying the principle of unity in Banglamphu community 3) to study how to apply the principle of unity to create importance and benefits to Thai society in at present. The qualitative research methodology of Banglamphu community was used to collect data from in-depth interviews from Banglamphu community of 20 persons. Summarizing a document is a content analysis. The results of the research found that 1) living in harmony with Buddhism and Islam of Banglamphu community is reconciliation in the community and the application of the principles of Brahmavihara in their lives. 2) The success factor from the motivation for applying the principle of unity in the society of Banglamphu community is four Sangahavatthus, four Iddhipadas, Thai Muslims have principles of six Faiths and five Practices. 3) Applied methods of solidarity principles used to create importance and benefits to Thai society of Banglamphu community. They cooperate in creating benefits for the community by applying the principles of three Sucaritas, four Sangahavatthus, four Brahmaviharas, four Iddhipadas, five Silas, six Saraniyadhammas, seven Aparihaniyadhammas, and apply them to create prosperity and well-being for society and community.
