Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Public Administration on Foreign Affairs

Abstract

The aim of this qualitative research is to study the Royal Public Administration on Foreign Affairs of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, to analyze Soft Power through her Princess Sirindhorn’s foreign affairs and to analyze her leadership under the royal duties on foreign affairs.  The results of the study revealed that Royal diplomacy of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn was strengthen international relations and understanding between Thailand and other visiting countries. Besides, it was also the opportunity to observe various aspects including the living standard, social, culture and advanced science and technology. During the royal visits, Princess Sirindhorn met with important people including the global leaders, academic professors, and experts in various fields to exchange their point of views and brought their experiences and knowledge to be applied in her work for Thailand benefits. The analysis of soft power of Princess Sirindhorn through her royal duties on foreign affairs shows that she is beloved by Chinese government and the people of China. In 2019, Princess Sirindhorn having received the Friendship Medal "Ratthamitphon", while Chinese government has arranged a ceremony to award medals of honor to people who have done high merit for both Chinese and foreigners. The characteristics of leadership in Public administration on foreign affairs of Princess Sirindhorn is therefore an important feature that enables her to win the hearts of neighboring countries, both the leaders and people of the nation which shows the utmost loyalty and great confidence. This can be seen from the awards given such as Magsaysay Awards in community services by the Ramon Magsaysay Foundation in Manila, the Philippines. Princess Sirindhom was selected as one of the top 10 international friends for making exceptional contributions to the country by 15 million internet voters organized by China Radio International (CRI) and has regarded as "Zhong Guo Yuan" or a true friend bound by destiny.
