The Development of Effective Academic Administrative Strategies of Schools under the Provincial Administrative Organization in the Lower Northeastern Region 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows:1) Study the conditions and guidelines forthe development of effective academic administration. 2) Develop effective strategies for academic administration. 3) Assess the feasibility and usefulness of these strategies. The sample group consisted of 140 directors, deputy directors, and teachers, selected using stratified sampling. A questionnaire was used as the research tool, with a precision value ranging from 0.60 to 1.00 and a reliability value of 0.96 for the entire version of the questionnaire. Key informants, including school directors, deputy directors, and academic heads (a total of six individuals), were selected using purposive sampling. Accuracy for the interview form ranged from 0.60 to 1.00. Additionally, a group discussion meeting was conducted with seven experts using purposive sampling to evaluate the draft effective academic administration strategies, utilizing a suitability assessment form with precision between 0.60 and 1.00. Feasibility and usefulness evaluation forms were used to assess the strategies, involving 30 individuals, including educational institution directors, deputy directors, and academic teachers from schools under the Provincial Administrative Organization. Stratified sampling was used for their selection, and the accuracy value ranged from 0.60 to 1.00. Data analysis involved calculating the mean and standard deviation.

The results of the research are as follows: 1) The conditions and guidelines for the development of effective academic administration under the Provincial Administrative Organization in the Lower Northeastern Region 1 were generally rated at a high level. The aspect that received the highest ranking was the development of learning resources (3rd aspect), followed by the development of quality assurance systems (5th aspect). The third highest ranking was the aspect of educational supervision

(4th aspect), followed by the development of the learning process (2nd aspect), and finally the aspect of curriculum development (1st aspect). 2) The effective strategies for academic administration in schools under the Provincial Administrative Organization in the Lower Northeastern Region included visions, missions, goals, indicators, projects or activities, and three main strategies: Strategy 1: Developing an educational curriculum that promotes academic excellence aligned with student and community needs. Strategy 2: Enhancing management processes that focus on learner-centered learning and equip students with essential 21st-century skills. Strategy 3: Promoting and developing a comprehensive educational supervision process with systematic participation from all sectors. 3) The evaluation of the feasibility and usefulness of academic management strategies for schools under the Provincial Administrative Organization in the Lower Northeastern Region 1 was rated at the highest level.
