A Study of Innovative Leadership among School Administrators as Perceived by Teachers in Nongki District under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

This research aims to achieve two objectives: first, to examine the perception of innovative leadership among school administrators as viewed by teachers in the Nongki District, which falls under the jurisdiction of Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 3; and second, to analyze the differences in perceptions of innovative leadership among these administrators, categorized by the teachers' work experience and the size of the schools involved. The samples were collected from 183 educators in Nongki District through the application of the stratified random sampling technique. Data was gathered through a questionnaire employing a 5-level rating scale, achieving an item objective congruence index of 1.00 and an overall reliability score of 0.98. The metrics employed in the analysis of data included percentages, means, standard deviations, and the F-test. We conducted a comparative analysis of the differences in pairs utilizing Scheffe's method.

The findings are outlined as follows: 1) Teachers within the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 observed that the perception of innovative leadership among school administrators in the Nongki District was notably high. The scores, arranged in descending order, were as follows: risk management, vision change, teamwork and participation, creative thinking, information and communication technology, and fostering an innovative organizational atmosphere. 2) The perceptions of teachers regarding innovative leadership among school administrators in Nongki District, as governed by the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, revealed notable variations categorized by work experience, with statistically significant differences observed at the .05 level. Upon a thorough examination of each aspect, we discerned no notable differences, save for the utilization of information and communication technology and the fostering of an innovative organizational atmosphere. Teachers in Nongki District, operating under the auspices of Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, recognized the presence of innovative leadership among school administrators, a phenomenon that was classified according to the size of the schools. Various facets of fostering an innovative organizational environment did not exhibit statistically significant differences at the .05 level.
