IMPROVING EFFICIENCY IN INVENTORY AND WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS IN THAILAND’S BREAK PADS INDUSTRY: A CASE STUDY OF S.C.H. INDUSTRY CO.,LTD.

The objective of this study is to improve the efficiency in the inventory and warehouse operations in Thailand’s brake pads industry. The study has focused on the 3 major dimensions which are: Cost Management, Lead Time, and Reliability. The 3 major dimensions that used in this study are followed by the Bureau of Logistics, the Department of Primary Industries and Mine, the Ministry of Industry. The study has categorized the warehouse into 3 types which are: 1. Break Plate Warehouse, 2. Finish Goods Warehouse, and 3. Chemical Warehouse The inventory and warehouse operations of the Company have improved as shown below. 1. Break Plate Warehouse: costs have been reduced 2,398,960 Baht, operation time has been reduced 87.30%, and improves the reliability of information 100% 2. Finish Goods Warehouse: costs have been reduced 2,200,954 Baht, operation time has been reduced 60.98%, and improves the reliability of information 100% 3. Chemical Warehouse: costs have been reduced 2,310,000 Baht, operation time has been reduced 37.50%, and improves the reliability of information 100%
