The Development of Learning English Management by Using the Task-Based with Mind Mapping to Enhance Reading Comprehension of Mathayomsuksa 5 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) compare the learning outcome of English Subject before and after using the task-based with mind mapping 2) studied the students’ reading comprehension skill by using the task-based with mind mapping and 3) studied the students’participation in learning English management by using the task-based with mind mapping. The sample consisted of 37 Mathayomsuksa 5 Students of Prachuabwittayalai School, The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Prachuap Khiri Khan during the second semester of academic year 2021. The research instruments were: 1) six the task-based with mind mapping lesson plans, 2) achievement test of English Subject, 3)reading comprehension assessment form and 4)participation assessment form. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test.

The results of the study were as follows:

   1) The learning outcome of English Subject after using the task-based with mind mapping was significantly higher at the .05 level.

   2) The students’ reading comprehension skill by using the task-based with mind were at the high level. And

   3) The students’ participation in learning English management by using the task-based with mind mapping were at the high level.
