Preparation for Higher Education Management under New Normal

Abstract

The author’s objective is to present how higher education could be catered under a new normal model for the effectiveness of new normal teaching methods towards higher-education students. The results revealed that students should change their thinking systems, attitudes, and behaviors of using online and distance learning technology. Teachers should have technological managerial skills which help manage higher-students’ education since this can stimulate their interests. The teachers should realize a concept in which students are able to create knowledge by themselves.  They should develop students to have knowledge, skills, including promoting students to apply some technological tools to acquire knowledge throughout their learning lives. Philosophies of learning contents should be reasonable, strengthening, virtuous, and insightful. Servicing and facilitating teaching methods should be selected. The teachers should convey effective contents and learning activities, measure and evaluate academic outcome. The teachers should foster interactions that are linked to students’ interests. In terms of educational technology, the teachers should integrate educational technology with their teachings, promote educational management systems which could help access information infrastructure and appropriately connect information technology with one another. The instructors need to be insightful at using technology to help manage education due to the fact that technology-based educational management activities potentially stimulate students’ interests for their sustainable livings.
