Developing a Program to Enhance Academic Leadership of School Administrators under Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the current conditions, desirable conditions, and needs for enhancing academic leadership among school administrators, and 2) develop a program to enhance the academic leadership of school administrators under Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The research was divided into two phases. Phase 1 aimed to examine the current conditions, desirable conditions, and needs for enhancing academic leadership among school administrators under Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample consisted of 348 participants. The data collection instruments included questionnaires assessing the current and desired conditions, with reliability coefficients of .979 and .983, respectively. Phase 2 focused on developing a program to enhance academic leadership for school administrators under Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The informant groups consisted of five school administrators and five experts who evaluated the program. Structured interviews and evaluation forms assessing appropriateness and feasibility were employed. The statistics used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the need index.The results revealed that the current state of academic leadership among school administrators was at a high level overall, while the desired state was rated at the highest level across all aspects. The prioritized needs, from highest to lowest, were curriculum management, setting school missions, teacher development, instructional supervision, and promoting a learning-conducive environment. The program developed to enhance academic leadership among school administrators consisted of five main components: 1) principles, 2) objectives, 3) content, 4) development methods, and 5) evaluation. The content was organized into five modules: Module 1 focused on defining the school mission, Module 2 on curriculum management, Module 3 on teacher development, Module 4 on instructional supervision, and Module 5 on promoting an instructional climate. The program was implemented over a total of 245 hours and followed the 70:20:10 development principle. Expert evaluations indicated that the program was highly appropriate and feasible.
