FACTORS OF OPERATIONS AFFECTING THE EFFICIENCY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OF TEXTILE INDUSTRY: A CASE STUDY AT THAI TEXTILE INDUSTRY (Plc)

Abstract

This research had the objective to study the factors of operations affecting the efficiency of logistics management of Thai Textile Industry (Plc). The tools utilized in the research were questionnaires. The sample group was personnel of Thai Textile Industry (Plc) by stratified random sampling according to ratioof 300 persons.

The study results found 1. The opinion levels of the factors of operations affecting the efficiency of logistics management of textile industry, when considered in overall level, were at a high level. it was found that planning had the highest mean and was in the highest level, secondarily, organizing; directing had the lowest mean. 2. The efficiency level of work performance in textile industry logistics, when considering in overall level, found that it was in high level. When considering in each item, it was found that the packaging management was appropriate and in standard, having the highest mean and being in high level, secondarily, appropriate goods and material storage, punctual goods delivery and proper information communication had the lowest mean. 3. The multiple regression analysis to find the factors of operations affecting the efficiency logistics management of textile industry, variable of factors affecting work performance efficiency in logistics of textile industry (Y), directing (x₄), controlling (x₅), organizing (x₂) and staffing (x₃) had regression coefficient value 0.411, 0.170, 0.160 and -0.185 respectively, had coefficient value in prediction (R²) 0.400 could predict the efficiency work performance in logistics of textile industry at 40.0%.
