INFORMATION USE BY MEDICAL RECORD PERSONNEL IN HOSPITALS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE PERMANENT SECRETARY FOR PUBLIC HEALTH AT THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC HEALTH

This research aimed 1) to study information use by medical record personnel in hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Public Health; 2) to compare information use by medical record personnel in hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Public Health, 3) to study the problems of information use by medical record personnel in hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Public Health, and 4) to compare the problems of information use by medical record personnel in hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Public Health. This research was a survey study and the population consisted of 817 medical record personnel in hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Public Health. The instruments were questionnaires. The statistics used in this study were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test.
The research findings were summarized as follows: Medical record personnel in hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Public Health 1) use information at the high level, and when classified each aspect found that the mostly use was medical records, medical statistics and reports, and information technology. 2) Comparing information use by position, work experience, size of hospital and department found the overall significantly different. 3) The problems of information use was at the middle level, and they were the aspects of information content support for medical records on websites and the amount of medical record printing media in libraries. 4) Comparing the problems of information use by department found the overall significantly different in information contents and information forms, but by position, work experience, size of hospital there was no statistical significance.
