THE SPIRITUAL MIND TO BE NUMBER ONE IN THE WORLD OF JAPAN

Abstract

This paper will introduce why Japan wants to be number one in the world and what policies are implemented to achieve this. Japan is a country with few natural resources. In order to survive, Japan must develop its technology to produce products in order to compete with the rest of the world. The Japanese fighting spirit plays an important role. Therefore, Japanese products must always be number one in the world. The government views that education plays a key role in order to learn easier in advanced knowledge. Japanese policies began from catching up with the western counties and now running away from the eastern countries who are trying to catch up with Japan. Therefore, Japan invests in creating quality people through education. Japan has emphasized the important of education in order to develop human resources and use these people to drive the country's economy. In order to achieve their goal of being number one, basically, Japanese people are expected to have the 2 qualities: high standard of self discipline and knowledge as well.
