SUCCESSFUL RESULTS OF RESOURCE SHARING SERVICES IN PRIVATE HOSPITALS LISTED ON THE STOCK EXCHANGE OF THAILAND BY STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODEL

The objectives of this research aim to 1) examine the coherence of factors influencing the success of resource sharing services in private hospitals, listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, that was developed based on assumptions and empirical data 2) study the causal influence of management factors using the McKinsey conceptual framework, firm capability, and capacity of shared service center on the success of resource sharing services in private hospitals listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Shared service configurations is a mediator variable through a structural equation model. Data were collected using online questionnaires from 460 department heads who work at 93 private hospitals registered in the medical business category in the Stock Exchange of Thailand between April – May 2022.
The research found that 1) the structural equation model based on hypothesis is consistent with empirical data; 2) management factors using the McKinsey conceptual framework and capacity of shared service center significantly influences shared service configurations. Management factors using the McKinsey conceptual framework and capacity of shared service center and shared service configurations also significantly influences the success of resource sharing services. (p≤0.01).
