Strategies for School Administration to Create Sustainable Career Pathways for Secondary School Students

Despite several educational reforms, secondary schools in Thailand still lack mechanisms that effectively connect learning with real career pathways. This conceptual synthesis article aims to analyze and integrate strategies for educational administration in developing students’ career progression at the secondary level. It is based on a review of concepts and theories in educational administration, lifelong learning, and career development. The synthesis presents a conceptual framework for sustainable career pathway management encompassing four dimensions: policy administration, competency-based curriculum, stakeholder participation, and digital technology utilization. The recommendations emphasize national career guidance policy development and collaboration among schools, communities, and industries to enhance students’ competencies in line with labor market demands.
